Description:
This Scaffold Training Program at various levels is designed to transform scaffold users, erectors, and supervisors into competent personnel in accordance with Alberta’s OHS Code. Through a curriculum consisting of scaffold awareness, safe erection, advanced configurations, and supervisory responsibilities, this program prepares workers with the knowledge, skills, and certification to work safely on or build scaffolding systems in Alberta.
Training includes detailed training on scaffold components, load calculations, fall protection, inspections, and hands-on erection of a number of different scaffolds (frame, tube and clamp, system, rolling, and suspended). Graduates will meet the definition of “competent worker” as defined by Alberta legislation

Why it‘s important: Scaffold injuries can be severe. This training aids employees in recognizing safe and not-safe situations prior to mounting a scaffold.
